ABOUT THE KIVU BUTEMBO:
This natural processed coffee is prepared by one of several washing stations operated by Virunga Coffee in the regions of North and South Kivu in DR Congo. Virunga Coffee is committed to the revitalization of the country’s coffee industry, providing coffee farmers with access to the international coffee markets and comprehensive training, including assistance from several agronomists focused on increasing both production and quality. From the highlands of eastern DR Congo, coffee travels through Uganda and Kenya to the port of Mombosa.
